The technology of Disaster Co-Location is simple. The server belongs to your customer and remains theirs at all times. You can install any software on the system they require. You can log in to the server remotely as often as needed and perform patches, upgrades, updates, whatever you think is important to keep the system ready to go in a disaster. And Disaster activation time is ZERO. It’s always active, so there’s no need to wait for someone else to activate. Of course if you need our assistance, we’re only too eager to help. Patent Pending Backups

Rudrah LLC Innovated patent pending technology is called CncOp ( pronounced sink-up ). It’s ability to transmit block level file changes is unparalleled. It means backup transmissions only include a file’s minimal changes. This conserves your customer’s Internet bandwidth and reduces the time it takes to send backups offsite. Say your customer has a PowerPoint presentation with 30 slides. If they add a new slide to the end of the presentation, PowerPoint will update the file’s ending content, and make a small change to the beginning of the file to update the slide count. The CncOp technology would detect the changes at the the beginning of and end of the file, and just transmit those.

Rudrah LLC offers two choices for backups; Agent Based or Agent-less.

Agent based backups offer you powerful control over backup choices and selections. Customers can use agent based backups to backup all files regardless of access controls. Agent-less is for those IT professionals who would prefer to not install additional software on their server. After years of chasing elusive crash bugs, and security patches, IT professionals have become cautious about installing new software on their mission critical servers. We’ve developed agent-less to satisfy even the most demanding professionals.

File Based Backups

CncOp is file based backup service. This means the basic objects protected are files stored on your customer’s servers. If you’d like to protect data objects like databases then you’ll first want to export that to a simple file format.
In the example of protecting databases, you would first export your customer’s database to a plain file. If you store the plain file on a share protected by Healthy Service the Healthy Server appliance will do the rest and handle the details of backing up the file to the Rudrah LLC Data center.

Secured Backups

CncOp sends all backups using SSL encryption. This ensures all information is protected from prying eyes. And SSL means backups can flow across the Internet without the need for your customers to make changes to their proxy servers or firewalls.

Virus Scan

Customer backups are scanned for viruses using our virus detection network. This provides an additional safety net to your customer’s already existing virus scanning software.

Technical Details

DNS Addition

Each customer adds Rudra LLC to their DNS records. In a disaster, Rudrah LLC staff will publish the customer’s virtual infrastructure to the DNS system. This ensures your customer’s email and website will continue to work smoothly during a disaster.

Disaster Activation

Your customer’s access to their Hot Site is through a Portal Server. Data from the previous night’s backup is available through a shared drive. You’ll be able to login to the infrastructure remotely and recover the data directly into your customer’s virtual environment. Hot Site also include space at the Rudrah LLC Data center. During a disaster, Rudrah LLC will make space for one of your staff to work at the Data center.

You’ll be provided with:

  • A desk, phone and supplies
  • WiFi or Wired LAN Connection
  • Internet access
  • A Windows terminal (if you need it)

And if you need it, Rudrah LLC will provide technical support staff (support services are available hourly plus expenses).

Semi-annual Update

From time-to-time, server configurations change. Most companies will have at least one or two major changes each year. To accommodate these changes, Rudrah LLC HotSite provides two free updates a year.
